
Born in India & raised in Hartford County, CT, Keya Saxena is a filmmaker & writer currently based in New York City. She has a BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts as a recipient of the Tisch Scholarship.
She looks to tell stories of identity, assimilation & diaspora. Her work has been highlighted by programs such as Made In Her Image x Panavision & Rickshaw Film Foundation's Cycle 5 & 6 Writers Room. She has also joined Bungalow Collective as one of their Creative Directors in an effort to uplift the voices of South Asian creatives.
Her short film, A Tale of Wilting Flowers, was in film festivals around the world and her thesis film, Manjha, World Premiered at the world's only Oscar-Qualifying South Asian Film Festival - Tasveer Film Festival & Market.
In 2025, she co-founded Junk Flower Films, an independent film production company in New York City, bringing storytelling to the commercial world through her writing & directing.
